Terms of Service

By accessing or using the MedOpinion platform (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

MedOpinion is a technology platform that connects patients with specialist doctors for services including medical second opinions, appointment scheduling, and online video consultations. MedOpinion provides the infrastructure for these interactions; the medical services themselves are provided by the participating doctors.

You must register for an account to use the Platform's services. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date
• Keep your password confidential and take reasonable steps to secure your account
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account
• Use only your own account and not impersonate any other person

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or where required for security or legal reasons.

As a patient using the Platform, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete medical information relevant to your case
• Attend scheduled appointments on time or cancel/reschedule in advance where possible
• Upload only documents that are yours or that you are authorized to share
• Use the Platform lawfully and respectfully in all communications with doctors
• Seek immediate in-person or emergency care when your situation requires it

Doctors using the Platform agree to:

• Maintain appropriate professional licensure and credentials for the services they provide
• Provide accurate information in their professional profile, including specialty, qualifications, and experience
• Exercise the same professional standard of care they would apply in their regular practice
• Keep appointments and consultations as scheduled, or communicate promptly when changes are necessary
• Comply with all professional, ethical, and legal obligations applicable to them

MedOpinion facilitates access to doctors but does not guarantee any particular medical decision, diagnosis, treatment, or outcome.

MedOpinion is a technology and service platform. It does not provide medical care itself; medical opinions, recommendations, and consultations are provided by independent doctors. Online consultations and second opinions have inherent limitations — the doctor cannot perform a physical examination and may not have access to your complete medical history.

Content provided through the Platform is for informational purposes in the context of your case and does not replace in-person medical evaluation. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something provided through the Platform.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or seek immediate medical attention.

Appointments are scheduled through the Platform at times agreed between the patient and the doctor. The following applies:

• Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled through the Platform
• Either party should provide reasonable notice when cancelling or rescheduling
• Repeated no-shows may affect the ability to schedule future appointments
• Video consultations require a device with a working camera and microphone and a stable internet connection
• Appointment reminders may be sent by email and SMS as a courtesy; delivery of reminders is not guaranteed

MedOpinion does not currently process payments through the Platform. Where a doctor displays a consultation fee, that fee and any payment arrangement are between you and the doctor or the doctor's practice, unless MedOpinion introduces integrated payments and notifies you of applicable payment terms in advance.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious code, attempt to breach security, or interfere with the Platform's operation
• Access data belonging to other users without authorization
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or medical information
• Use the Platform to provide medical services if you are not qualified and licensed to do so
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Scrape, copy, or resell content or data from the Platform without permission

The Platform, including its design, features, and content, is owned by MedOpinion or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the medical information and documents you submit; you grant MedOpinion a limited license to process them as necessary to provide the services. Opinions and recommendations prepared by doctors belong to the doctor, subject to your right to access and use them for your personal medical decision-making.

The Platform uses third-party services to operate, including hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, Daily.co for video consultations, Twilio for SMS notifications, and transactional email providers. Your use of these underlying services may also be subject to the respective providers' terms. MedOpinion is not responsible for third-party services except as required by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MedOpinion provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. MedOpinion is not liable for the medical content, decisions, or outcomes arising from consultations between patients and doctors.

To the extent permitted by law, MedOpinion's total liability arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid to MedOpinion for use of the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim, or a nominal amount. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required for security reasons, or as permitted by law. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

The governing law applicable to these Terms is determined by the principal place of operation of the Platform operator and will be specified here once confirmed.
